Professional Prep Cook / Line Cook
Sausalito, CA | Part-Time to Full-Time | OnsitePerfect Timing Personnel Services is seeking a Professional Prep Cook / Line Cook for a residential care setting in Sausalito. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in food preparation, maintains a clean and organized kitchen, and works well both collaboratively and independently in a service-focused environment.
Position Details
- Start: ASAP
- Location: Onsite – Sausalito, CA
- Example Schedule: Day/swing shift
- Hours: 24–40 hours per week (approx.)
Compensation
- Up to $27/hour DOE
Key Responsibilities
- Experience with banquet-style cooking and food presentation
- Prepare food items accurately and in a timely manner
- Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards
- Restock food and kitchen supplies throughout shifts
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen stations
- Properly use and maintain kitchen equipment
- Assist with cleaning and organization of kitchen, coolers, and storage areas
- Identify and report safety or sanitation concerns
- Support safe work practices across the team
- Follow all workplace, food safety, and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain professionalism, appropriate boundaries, and confidentiality (HIPAA compliant)
- Perform additional duties as needed
Qualifications
- Professional cook experience: pantry, grill, sauté station in a commercial kitchen setting
- Excellent customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
- Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen, including marijuana
