Next week’s inaugural Sausalito Restaurant Week from March 18 to 24 is the latest addition and offers the opportunity to experience Sausalito’s culinary range with special three-course dinner menus at a dozen of its restaurants ($55 to $75) plus a two-course lunch at a select few ($25 to $45). Some are also adding a $10 specialty cocktail made with gin, bourbon or rye from Sausalito Liquor Co.
Take your pick from the long-standing classics that have drawn diners to the waterfront since the 1960s (the Spinnaker, Scoma’s and the Trident) or one or more of the four restaurants entering a second decade (Salito’s Crab House & Prime Rib, Seafood Peddler, Copita Tequileria y Comida and Barrel House Tavern). Award-winning Sushi Ran, which made a splash with its opening in 1986, garnering attention throughout the Bay Area for its contemporary take on Japanese cuisine, is participating, as are Italian favorites on central Bridgeway (Angelino and Poggio) and newer additions (Zalta Mediterranean and Ditas).
