Maritime Salvage
Anyone interested in shipping and boating on the San Francisco Bay will enjoy this fascinating overview of maritime salvage, a concept unique to maritime law. Program presenter Captain Tuuli Messer-Bookman has over 300,000 sea miles aboard merchant vessels, holds a USCG unlimited tonnage oceans Master's license, and is a (non-practicing) attorney. A Sausalito native, Capt. Messer-Bookman is a full professor at the California Maritime Academy where she teaches celestial navigation, bridge watch-standing assessments, and offers a senior seminar on maritime casualties.
