David Archer, CEO
David took the helm effective September 8, 2016, having moved to the Bay Area from La Quinta in Palm Desert where he served for 9 years as the CEO of the La Quinta Chamber of Commerce. He oversaw a staff of five and an annual operating budget of $500k at that organization. David also has a background in insurance, finance and business development, was past president of the Rotary Club of La Quinta, and is a graduate of the Western Association of Chamber Executives leadership program.
David's primary focus in the immediate future will be to continue to grow the Chamber’s membership with an emphasis on “micro” businesses (small, home based businesses), secure more local and regional sponsors, and to manage the newly expanded visitor information kiosk program.

Lisa Scopazzi, Chairman
Lisa is a resident of Marin County where her husband, John Scopazzi, is a general contractor, and together, Lisa and John have three thriving children.
Lisa is a Realtor for RE/MAX Pros in the Bay area, and she and her and are the owners/operators of Five Stars Yacht, a charter yacht business. Lisa is a also a member of the board of both Sausalito Rotary and Sausalito Rotary Housing.
When she’s not selling real estate or cruising The Bay, you’ll find Lisa enjoying traveling, and hiking the gorgeous trails of Marin with her dog Kasey.
Jill Gordano, Incoming Chairwoman
Jill Giordano and Brian Scheyer are the owners & designers behind gr.dano, a women’s clothing line known for its modern, unique, and architecturally-inspired designs.
Jill learned to sew to make her vintage fashion finds fit her perfectly. Together, Jill and her partner Brian do everything for their clothing line, from designing and sketching to delivering finished pieces to the retailers. Both are hands-on craftspeople, who insure that every detail of every piece is perfect. “Our clothes are so personal because we’ve touched every piece—we’re not sketching and taking a bow at the end of the runway,” says Jill.
Jeff Scharosch, Treasurer
Jeff has been actively involved in the Hospitality restaurant business for over 20 years with the past 15 years being in Sausalito as a general manager of the Spinnaker Restaurant. Additionally he is an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco Hospitality Industry Management Program. Jeff’s local community involvement includes being co–chair of the Amgen Tour of California, Appointed Member of the Business Advisory Committee, Hospitality Committee and a Past President of the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce.
Christanne Gallagher, Secretary
Chris has been at the Bay Model since 1986 and has served in the capacity of Manager since 2001. In that time she overseen a $16.5 million renovation to the facility and increased partnerships within the community. She is proud to be working with fellow Chamber members Call of the Sea who operate the vessel Seaward, Educational Tallship and Sea Trek all located at the Bay Model. Chris served on the Chamber Board from 2009-14 serving as President in 2010 and Secretary and member-at-large in subsequent years. After an obligatory one year hiatus she returned to the Board as Secretary. In addition to those duties she is currently on the nominating committee and chairs the Mixers for the Chamber. In addition to her Chamber role she is also involved in the community serving on the Business Advisory Committee, is a member of the VIPS (Volunteers in Public Safety) and the Rotary Club of Sausalito.
Ann Arnott, Sausalito Art Festival
Ann Arnott has been active in the business, the artistic, and the social life of Sausalito for over 40 years. In the 70s, Ann and a partner opened the first restaurant on Caledonia Street. Also in the 70s, she was elected President of the Sausalito Woman’s Club, and was eventually elected “Honored Member” in recognition of “her long and outstanding service.” She was one of the earliest supporters of the Sausalito Art Festival -- and is currently President of the Art Festival Foundation. In 2005, Ann was elected to the Board of the Sausalito-Marin City Sanitary District. And for over 20 years, she has been a Member of the Sausalito Chamber, who honored her with a Lifetime Achievement Award in October 2008 and the Spirit of Marin Award in September 2009.
Aaron Singer, Immediate Past ChairmanAaron & Tiffany Singer, residents of Sausalito and Marin County for over 20 years are the owners of Seaplane Adventure. Seaplane Adventures was founded in 1945 as Commodore Seaplanes by a returning veteran World War II seaplane pilot, Bob Law. Since that time the seabase has been in continuous operation, variously becoming the largest flight school in the United States in the early fifties to the largest regional air carrier serving Lake Tahoe (in the Piaggio Flying Gull flying boat) to rehearsal space for the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane and Carlos Santana.
Christopher Holbrook, Director
Christopher was born and raised in Sausalito. He owns Studio 333, the Bay Area’s largest fine art and event gallery. The gallery is located on Caledonia St., which is considered the locals street. Christopher is very involved in the community. He currently serves on the Sausalito Hospitality Committee, hosts many fundraisers, art shows and coaches both baseball and football at Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley. Christopher enjoys camping, snowboarding, going to flea markets and spending time with his 16 year old son, Devin.
Christopher joined the Sausalito Chamber Board of Directors in 2013 and received the Small Business o the Year in 2012.
Marjorie Thomas, Director
Marjorie chose to come and live in Sausalito in May 2011, having found her perfect place to live, when she cycled across the Golden Gate Bridge in 2009. She has over 25 years of international board level experience in the finance industry (Gibraltar, Switzerland, Cayman Islands, Britain). Originating from Jersey, Channel Islands, she left the world of scientific research after attaining her Master’s Degree in South Africa. Upon joining the financial services industry in Jersey, she studied for her Trustee Diploma and has continued over the years to increase her broad knowledge base.
While working in Jersey for Chase she served as President of the Institute of Bankers. Then while in Grand Cayman setting up a new company for an international service provider, she became involved in Rotary and was appointed to their board. Her current memberships include: STEP, IFS, BABC and BBS.
Coming to Sausalito was in part a decision to achieve a change of pace from the high pressure and long hours she had been used to. She is co-owner and CFO of Agile Marine LLC, looking after the financial aspects and regulatory side of the business. She also provides non-executive director, consulting and management development services to Bay Area organizations.
An avid cyclist, you’ll often see her on Bridgeway, heading to or from coffee.
Marjorie joined the Board of Directors in 2014.
Peter Van Meter, Director
Peter Van Meter has been an owner and partner in new businesses and has held leadership positions in large corporations. His diverse career includes extensive experience in sales, marketing, commercial real estate, computer and internet technology, finance, and aerospace engineering. He is currently a corporate trainer in the field of employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). He has decades of volunteer and public service, formerly as a Sausalito Planning Commissioner, City Council Member and at present, a member of the Board of Directors of the Southern Marin Fire Protection District. He and his wife Shelby have been Sausalito residents since 1974.
Peter joined the Sausalito Chamber Board of Directors in 2014.
Kim Huff, Member at Large
Kim is the President and CEO of Kimber Communications, a Sausalito headquartered firm specializing in graphic design for print media and web. Co-owner of Kimber Management, LLC and Kimber Commercial Brokerage Services, Inc., both Sausalito based real estate firms formed in 1991. Kim is a lifelong Marin County resident and has been actively involved in Sausalito’s business and cultural life. She has served on multiple boards in Sausalito, and is proud to have been a Past President of the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce, Sausalito Woman’s Club, and is especially proud to be a founding Director of Willow Creek Academy.
On the community level she has developed program and marketing materials for the City of Sausalito, Sausalito Rotary, Rotary Foundation 5150, Sausalito Chamber of Commerce and many more organizations. Kim rejoined the Board of Directors in 2012.
