Anne Davis has transformed a traditional engraving technique into a contemporary look of bold lines and vivid color. She combines this technique with colorful contemporary acrylic painting. Her current floral and landscape pieces are inspired by the many gardens and beautiful scenery in the Bay Area and elsewhere.
Prior to her work as a fine artist, Anne worked as an illustrator and graphic designer in the Seattle, Washington area. Her editorial illustrations appeared in magazines and publications in Seattle. Her current botanical and floral pieces have been exhibited at juried art festivals recently in the Bay Area. Her prior artistic work includes experience in editorial illustration, computer arts (3D modeling/animation), and graphic design. She has lived and worked in Sausalito, California since 1996.
Anne graduated from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle Washington with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She has a Master of Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco, California and a B.A. in English Literature from Gonzaga University.
